Our roots in Carnia

Comelstile’s story began in 1995 in Sutrio, in the heart of Carnia, where a new business dedicated to eyewear manufacturing was established.

Four years later, when the original venture seemed destined to come to an end, three employees chose to imagine a different future. Cristian, Carmelo and Daniele took over the company and began an entrepreneurial journey built on hard work, precision and an in-depth knowledge of the product.

This pivotal moment continues to define Comelstile today: the ability to turn a moment of difficulty into a new beginning.

From its early finishing activities, the company gradually evolved into the complete production of eyewear for third-party brands. The quality of its craftsmanship, reliability and attention to detail enabled Comelstile to collaborate with leading names in the optical industry and establish a recognised manufacturing expertise.

In 2008, the move to Tolmezzo marked a new phase of development, expanding both its facilities and production capabilities. Today, Comelstile Fabbrica employs around 90 people, predominantly women, across two modern and dynamic production sites.

The Origins

In Sutrio, in the heart of Carnia, the first production facility takes shape, laying the foundations for what would become Comelstile.
A New Beginning

Cristian, Carmelo and Daniele choose to take over the company and build an independent venture driven by experience, determination and dedication.
Growth in Tolmezzo

Comelstile moves its operations to Tolmezzo, expanding production capacity and strengthening its presence in the industry.
The First Optical Store

At a challenging moment for the manufacturing market, Comelstile opens its first optical store in Tolmezzo. Expertise in eyewear now meets the needs of the final customer.
A New Space

The Tolmezzo optical store grows, expanding from its original space of around twenty square metres to more than one hundred and twenty square metres.
The Opening of Buja

Comelstile brings its philosophy to Buja with an optical store of more than five hundred square metres, dedicated to technology, expert consultation and style.
A New Chapter in Pozzuolo

The journey continues with the opening of the Pozzuolo optical store: a new five-hundred-square-metre space equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a contemporary selection of eyewear.
